The goal
Commercial cow-calf owners, six states first
The target is herds of about 50 to 499 head. We start in Texas, Oklahoma, Nebraska, Kansas, Missouri and South Dakota.
Canada comes after a US test works.
Do now
Run one list test
Rent two lists, send one email, count the replies. Nothing else is committed until the numbers are in.
Rent two lists
Working Ranch and Progressive Cattle, filtered to cow-calf owners in six states.
One email
Written by CodingPixel. Photo weight estimate plus herd profile, with a referral credit.
Landing page
Built for ranchers on a phone. Tracks vendor and state on every click.
Sign-up
A reply becomes a real account, then a report for Alan.
Rent the lists and send the email.
Writes the email, sets the filters, coordinates the send, builds the sign-up path below, and reports who replied.
A photo weight estimate plus a herd profile, with a referral credit.
No new email tool. Postmark stays for app mail only.
What CodingPixel builds for the test
- Offer landing page. One page for the photo weight estimate and herd profile offer, written for ranchers and readable on a phone in a pickup.
- Sign-up path into the app. The page hands people into Cattle Worth sign-up so a reply becomes a real account, not just a click.
- Source tracking. Each link carries the vendor and state, so the report shows which list and which state performed.
- Referral credit setup. The credit is offered and recorded for each new sign-up, so it can be honored later.
- Follow-up emails. A short follow-up to people who clicked but did not sign up, sent through the vendors or from the Cattle Worth app mail setup, whichever the vendor terms allow.
In parallel: a free public list
CodingPixel is also compiling a free list from public sources: sale-barn phone numbers, and Angus, Hereford and Red Angus breeder names where those sites publish them.
This is not a rented email list, and it is not part of the fee.
Do later
Only if the test gets replies
Nothing below is started, quoted or booked until the reply report is in Alan's hands.
- US events
- Join TSCRA and demo at two or three Ranch Gatherings still running through November 2026.
- Nashville, Feb 2 to 4, 2027
- Book a CattleCon booth. The $2,800 10 by 10 rate ended April 1, 2026, so the current rate is confirmed before booking.
- Canada
- Alberta Beef Producers, the next Canadian Beef Industry Conference, and Agribition in Regina, November 23 to 28, 2026.
